町長あいさつ（令和5年11月6日）

皆さまこんにちは。

町長に就任して8か月が経ちました。早いものです。暑すぎた夏もようやく終えて、志賀高原の山頂では初雪も観測されて、スキーシーズンももうすぐですね。

私自身も、町政についても理解が深まり、同時に改革を進め始めています。

3月から11月までに間で、さまざまなことがありました。

議会選挙があり新しい議会が誕生し、町長と語る会を4回開催し、新東部浄水場が竣工しました。8月には新しい形の夏祭り、「山ノ内どんどん」も無事に開催することができました。夏祭りではタイのアイドルグループCGM48のメンバーに観光大使に就任してもらい、タイ向けプロモーション映像の撮影を行いました。

海外といえば、山ノ内町のプロモーションのために、7月にオーストラリアへ志賀高原索道協会の営業に同行し、10月にタイへ渋温泉旅館組合のブース出店のお手伝いに行きました。8月は中国は長野県阿部知事に同行し、北京市で山ノ内町のプロモーションを行い、国際友好都市の密雲区に挨拶してきました。

10月には議員・観光協会・観光連盟・索道協会の代表と一緒に、国際友好都市のコロラド・ベイル町を訪問し、新しい友好都市関係の構築に行ってきました。

最近は湯田中駅にも外国人観光客の姿が戻ってきていて、この冬はさらに外国人観光客が増える予想です。

ふるさと納税を加速させるために、山ノ内町にいらした観光客の方がその場で納税できる、旅先納税もスタートさせることができ、期待しています。

11月には観光局が立ち上がり、湯田中駅前に観光案内所を開設します。予算などの面では本格スタートは4月ですが、この冬も無駄にはできないという思いから、インフォメーションセンターだけを仮オープンさせます。

山ノ内町の季節の移り変わりを見ていますが、やはりこの町は素晴らしい町です。

りんごもすくすくと育ち、次々と収穫されて出荷されています。

これからも町の観光と農業の2大産業をしっかりとサポートしながら、好循環に入るまで町がリードしていくつもりで改革を進めていきます。

町の役場内にも新しい風が吹き始めています。

地域活性化企業人という枠組みで、さまざまな会社からアドバイザーが入ってきています。新しいこと、新しい形を作るには、外部からアイディアをいただいた方が早いのです。

こうした様々な方に知恵を借りつつも、これからも改革を加速すべく、頑張っていきます。

Message November 6^th 2023

It has been eight months since I took office as Mayor of the town. It has been fast.

The too hot summer is finally over, the first snow has been seen at the top of Shiga Kogen, and the ski season is almost there.

I myself am gaining a better understanding of town government and at the same time beginning to make some changes.

Between March and November, many things have happened.

We had an election for a new town council, myself held 4 meetings with the town people, completed construction of the NEW Water Plant, and successfully held a new type of summer festival, "YAMANOUCHI DON DON," in August.

At the summer festival, we invited members of the idol group CGM48 to announce as Tourism Ambassadors for Thailand and filmed a promotional video with them.

Speaking of overseas, to promote Yamanouchi Town, I accompanied the Team of Shiga Kogen to Australia in July, and went to Thailand in October with Team of Shibu Onsen.

In August, I accompanied Governor Abe of Nagano Prefecture to China to promote Yamanouchi in Beijing and stopped over and greeted our International Friendship City Miyun District.

In October, I visited Colorado, town of Vail, our another international friendship city, with representatives of the Council members, Tourism Association to establish a renew our friendship city relationship.

Recently, foreign tourists have returned to Yudanaka Station, and we expect even more foreign tourists this winter.

In order to accelerate the FURUSATO NOZEI (hometown tax payment), we are expecting to start a TABISAKI NOZEI (travel tax payment system), which will allow tourists who come to Yamanouchi Town to pay their taxes on the spot.

In November, a tourist bureau will be set up and a tourist information center will open in front of Yudanaka Station. In terms of budget and other factors, the full-scale start will be in April.

I have been watching the changing seasons in Yamanouchi, and I really think this is a wonderful town.

The apples are growing well and are being harvested and shipped one after another.

We will continue to provide solid support for the town's two major industries of tourism and agriculture, and will continue to reform the town with the intention of taking the lead until it enters a positive cycle..

A new wind is also beginning to blow within the town office as well.

Advisors from various companies have been brought in under the framework of "local revitalization business people”. I believe that it is faster to create new things and new forms if we receive ideas from outside.

While borrowing wisdom from these various people, I will continue to do our best to accelerate the changes.
