Beware of Icy Roads

The roads in the mountainous areas leading to the ski resorts are icy in places, and two-wheel drive vehicles may slip on the icy roads. In order to ensure the safety and security of all visitors to our town, we ask that you take equipments to prevent slipping and sliding. 

　Examples of useful equipments to be prepared for trouble: 

　　When renting a vehicle, choose a 4-wheel drive vehicle with snow tires.

　　Tire chains - effective in preventing slipping on icy roads .Be sure to carry it with you.

Shovels - Useful for clearing snow from a parking space or when stuck in snow.

Gloves, boots, and warm clothings - Protecting you from the cold weather when work outside for your vehicle.

　　Snow brushes - Useful for clearing snow from roofs and windows.

　　Flashlights - Necessity for nighttime work.

Emergency sign equipments and smoke bombs - Let people know when there is a problem.
